VERBIER RESORT
One of the best ski resorts in the world, Verbier is a huge ski area with over 400 km of runs.
From the gentle nursery slopes in town, you can progress to the blue runs at Savoleryres, Lac
des Vaux or La Chaux with their high speed lifts. There is a good selection of red runs from Attelas and for the more adventurous
you can ski via Siviez to Nendaz or Thyon which takes several hours. Make sure you are in time for the last lift
back as a taxi ride from Siviez to Verbier is one and a half hours long!

For the freestylers the main funpark is at La Chaux with its new high speed lift ensuring fast turnaround times.
There is a smaller park at Savoleryres with a skier/boarder-cross course and other parks in Nendaz and Thyon.
Verbier is best known for its amazing off-piste terrain with routes such as Tortin, Mont Fort
– Col Des Gentianes and Vallon d’Arby which are avalanched controlled to more serious routes, such as
backside Mont Fort, Stairway and Catwalk that are not. With the O’Neill World Cup Extreme and the Verbier
Ride Big Mountain Competition being held here every year Verbier is a mecca for freeriding.

Televerbier, the lift company, is continuing to update the lift system with three new lifts built in summer 2005, two new high speed lifts in 2006 and
more planned for 2007.
At night the town is very much alive with some fantastic restaurants, aprés-ski bars and four night clubs. There
is live music in the T-Bar with 'White Lines' made up of Altitude instructors, and regular bands at the Farinet. You can certainly
ski hard by day and party hard by night.
