BASI

Altitude Futures work closely with BASI to supply our Gap students with a wealth of training opportunities, qualifications, lifetime memories and work opportunities throughout the World. BASI is the internationally recognised UK training body for examining British Snowsport Instructors and offers internationally recognized qualifications in skiing and snowboarding.

Altitude and BASI only employ the best trainers to run their courses. All the trainers have been specially selected for their training skills, knowledge, and experience and teaching ability.

What You Get

On successful completion of the Futures Gap course you will be awarded with the BASI Ski or Snowboard Instructor Qualification. This qualification is recognized throughout the World and allows you to teach in the UK, on artificial slopes and on snow in other countries including Switzerland, America, Canada, Scandinavia, Australia, and New Zealand.

Quotes from the Course

'The Altitude Futures gap students are the most successful and strongest group I have ever been with in 16 years of being a BASI trainer.'

Andy Lockerbie - Chairman of BASI

What Next

Altitude is a BASI affiliated Ski School and on successful completion of the GAP course, if you wish to continue your snowsports career Altitude can offer support and training opportunities towards the next level of your BASI Qualification.

Note

BASI have just reorganised their level system. What use to be known as the Foundation is now level 1. BASI 3 or Ski/Board Instructor is now level 2. What was BASI 2 first changed to Ski/Board Teacher, ISIA is now called BASI level 3. and BASI 1 changed to International Ski Teacher, ISTD and is now also called level 4.

In practical terms nothing has changed and you will achieve your Level 2, Instructor qualification on successful completion of the course.
